Privacy policy
This policy explains how Emaki processes personal data on emakisound.com under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Spanish data-protection law.

2. Data we process
This site has no user accounts and no forms that post data to our own servers.
- Email contact: the contact form opens your mail client with a message to hola@emakisound.com. Any details you include (name, email, message) reach us by email so we can reply.
- On-device preferences: language, colour theme, and cookie choice (browser local storage). See the cookie policy.
- Connection logs: like most websites, the hosting server may automatically log access data (IP, date, requested resource, user agent) for security and operations.
- Podcast content: when the catalogue is shown, the browser may request episode artwork from the podcast CDN (CloudFront).
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Handling enquiries sent by email — legitimate interest and, where relevant, steps prior to a contract (GDPR art. 6.1.b and 6.1.f).
- Running the site (language, theme, first-party fonts, security, podcast catalogue) — legitimate interest / strictly necessary storage under ePrivacy (GDPR art. 6.1.f).
4. Retention
- Contact emails: as long as needed to handle the enquiry and meet legal duties.
- localStorage preferences: until you clear them or withdraw consent.
- Server logs: according to the host’s policy and ordinary security periods.
5. Recipients
We do not sell your data. Access may be given, only when needed, to:
- The web hosting provider (as a processor).
- The podcast CDN (CloudFront) when episode images load.
6. Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, and portability where applicable by writing to hola@emakisound.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
You can reopen the cookie notice anytime via the footer (“Change cookie preferences”) or the cookie policy.
7. Children
The site is not aimed at children under 14. If you believe a minor has sent us data, contact us so we can delete it.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date shows the current version. Continued use after a material change means you have had the chance to review it.
